Le score de Child-Pugh est basée sur 5 paramètres, 3 biologiques (bilirubine, albumine, temps de prothrombine (TP)) et 2 cliniques (ascite et encéphalopathie)
Il classifie les patients atteints d'une maladie hépatique chronique, notamment d'une cirrhose, en 3 catégories de sévérité / pronostiques.
Il est bien corrélé avec la mortalité à 1 et 2 ans.

Estimation de la sévérité et du pronostique d'une cirrhose hépatique (ou d'une hépatopathie chronique).
Echèlle :
De 5 à 15 points, le plus élévé le pire le pronostique.
